Amano seeks to use design as a tool of economic development in Mexican artisan communities (amano translates literally to “by-hand” in Spanish). They are Prop 65 compliant and dedicated to a zero-waste production studio, with most jewelry made in the USA using recycled or vintage materials. 

The Freshwater Pearl Necklace is the perfect mix of simple and elegant. Freshwater pearls are grown in freshwater lakes and rivers. They are more organic in shape compared to their more expensive, perfectly round cousins.
